What does prayer mean to me? Why would I even set up a prayer requests page?
All of my life I have been surrounded by praying people. But, being surrounded by praying people didn’t mean that I could depend on their prayers to grow my relationship with God. I had to develop my own prayer life.
I have cried and prayed out to the Lord with all of my heart and seen him move mightily. His presence is as real as the keys of my laptop.
God’s word reminds us that:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
From the Garden of Eden, God established a community-based culture for all of his creation. The same applies today. Outside of our personal one-on-one time with God, he desires that as a Christian community, we uplift each other in prayer, love one another as he loves us, and keep each other accountable.
What Type of Prayer Requests Should You Share?
There is no qualification for a “good” prayer request. If there is a burden on your heart then that’s all that matters. It could be for your family, friends, or job situation; your ministry or your health. Your friends or family in the military need prayer. Anything!
Whether you’re single and wanting to God to bring your mate or married and in need of God’s guidance, then send me your prayer requests. We were never meant to go through this life, or pray, alone (James 5:16).
